Senior QA Engineer

We are specifically looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer who has hands-on expertise in managing Data Migration and ETL projects.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Migration Senior Test Engineer to lead and manage all testing activities related to large-scale data migration projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing data validation and migration testing efforts to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data transferred from legacy systems to target platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement the overall data migration testing strategy in collaboration with Project Manager, business analysts, developers, and data migration teams.

Design, develop, and execute data verification test plans, test scripts, and test cases tailored to data migration projects.

Coordinate data profiling, data quality checks, and reconciliation processes across source and target systems.

Work closely with ETL/Data Engineers to verify data mapping, transformation rules, and business logic.

Manage end-to-end testing cycles including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Mock Runs.

Monitor and report on test progress, defect management, and risk mitigation strategies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and data governance standards are upheld.

Ensure proper test environment setup and test data management.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

7+ years of experience in software testing, with 3+ years specifically in data migration projects.

Strong knowledge of data structures, SQL, ETL processes, and data quality frameworks.

Hands-on experience with data testing tools (e.g., QuerySurge, Informatica DVO, Talend, SSIS, etc.)

Proficiency in managing large-scale enterprise data migrations (Integration, financial or legacy systems).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

ISTQB Certification or equivalent

Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
