Job Description

Role Overview

The Senior QA Tester is responsible for ensuring that all digital solutions delivered by the organization meet defined quality standards. The role requires a hands-on professional who can perform structured testing, mentor junior testers, and help strengthen the overall testing process and documentation. This position is ideal for someone with solid QA experience who can contribute both technically and through knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

Testing and Quality Control

  • Plan, design, and execute test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using the organization's issue management tools.
  • Ensure proper test coverage for new and existing features before release.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.

Process Improvement

  • Enhance QA workflows, templates, and documentation for consistency and repeatability.
  • Support the introduction and maintenance of basic automation test scripts where suitable.
  • Provide input to project schedules and ensure QA deliverables are completed on time.

Team Collaboration and Mentorship

  • Guide and support junior QA testers in test design, execution, and defect management.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of test cases and test results to identify improvement areas.
  • Coordinate and communicate directly with clients during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions to clarify issues, document feedback, and ensure alignment on test outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with project and development teams to ensure quality issues are communicated and resolved effectively.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate test case repositories, test evidence, and release documentation.
  • Prepare and share concise QA summary reports for internal visibility.
  • Support updates to QA documentation and testing procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
  • Solid understanding of test planning, test case execution, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with QA tools such as TestRail (or similar test management systems), Postman (for API testing), and Jira (for defect tracking).
  • Familiarity with basic automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is an advantage.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum environments is desirable.
