About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and commercial functions for interior fit-out projects. This role requires strong expertise in budgeting, contract administration, and procurement, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget, and high-quality standards across Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project costing, budget planning, and financial analysis for management review
- Prepare BOQ, tender documents, and oversee full tendering process
- Manage cost estimation, progress claims, and project cash flow
- Administer contracts including Variation Orders (VO) and Extension of Time (EOT)
- Oversee procurement of materials, services, and subcontractors
- Review drawings, specifications, and material sourcing for cost optimization
- Manage supplier selection, tender evaluation, and contract awards
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract terms, and ethical standards
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met
- Drive cost control strategies to achieve targeted profit margins
- Collaborate closely with design, project, and business development teams
- Handle stakeholder communication and support commercial decision-making
- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in quantity surveying (interior fit-out / construction preferred)
- Strong experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration
- Proven track record managing commercial and corporate interior projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD / Revit is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market pricing
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Able to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling contracts and finances
- Willing to travel for project site visits within Malaysia
