Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Senior Manager of R&D. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of our R&D department.
Job responsibilities;
- Develop and implement comprehensive plans and strategies for the R&D department, including setting yearly goals and establishing a roadmap for achieving them. Demonstrated problem-solving skills are essential for this aspect of the role.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and market trends, particularly in large-scale environments such as cloud computing, drawing insights from industry leaders like Grab, to inform decision-making processes within the R&D team.
- Demonstrate adept management psychology to foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring that team members are motivated and aligned with the department's objectives.
- Maintain oversight of R&D department processes, ensuring that all workflows are on-track and properly documented to facilitate efficiency and accountability.
- Lead efforts to build automated development processes, leveraging both people management skills and refined understanding of streamlined workflows.
- Provide guidance and support to managers within the R&D department, overseeing their performance and ensuring progress aligns with organizational goals.
- Effectively manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and facilitate career development opportunities for team members, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making processes.
- Act as the primary representative for the R&D department in various events, product launches, and industry engagements, showcasing the department's contributions and innovations to external stakeholders.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in leading research and development teams, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a managerial role.
