Job Summary
The Regulatory Affairs Executive plays a key role in ensuring the company's products and operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Document Preparation & Submission
- Assist in compiling and organizing documents required for product registration/information (e.g. Food Div. MoH, RMCD, DOSH etc).
- Review and validate product labels, packaging, promotional materials, and technical documents from regulatory perspective to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Help translate or format technical documents when necessary.
2. Regulatory Research & Compliance Support
- Maintain up-to-date records and databases of regulatory files, product specifications and approval statuses.
3. Application Tracking & Follow-up
- Maintain an internal filing system to track submission statuses.
- Follow up on the product registration progress, communicate with the government and relevant industry departments on registration matters, coordinate and deal with problems in the registration process, and ensure that registration approval documents are obtained on time.
- Support in trademark registration processes, including coordination with legal counsel or trademark agents, submission of applications, renewals, and tracking of status.
4. Internal Communication & Coordination
- Liaise with internal departments to gather supporting documents.
5. Reporting & Data Entry
- Update status reports for ongoing applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science/Technology or science related fields.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a regulatory affairs role within food industry.
- Experience in cosmetic submission and trademark application is an added advantage.
- Familiar with Malaysian regulatory frameworks and agencies such as MOH, RMCD and MyIPO.
- Good understanding of regulatory documentation, product registration, and compliance standards.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
