Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • To assist and support Head of Branch in executing business plans and strategies to achieve business targets as well as Bank's overall objectives focusing on Local Listed Companies, SME and Retail Customers.

  • Lead, organize, supervise, oversee and manage the business development team members in sourcing, developing, expanding, managing and implementing new business opportunities, and take leadership/accountability of the team, by setting clear objectives with action plans in order to maximize individual and departmental performance.

  • Responsible to take the initiative & actions towards achieving personal and own team as well as business targets such as soliciting new-to-bank customers through securing approved and accepted loans, cross selling CASA, internet banking, credit card and other products and services to generate revenue for the Bank, and;

  • To market and cross sell the Bank's other products and services including liability products and to increase the Bank's customer portfolio accordingly to the prescribed policies and guidelines.

  • In compliance with the credit policies/guidelines and shareholder mandates, to prepare and submit credit facilities proposals to seek management approval for customer's acceptance and loans implementation.

  • To conscientiously comply with all the relevant operating procedures/policies, product guidelines and regulatory rules & controls including the Anti-Money Laundering Act 2001 and other related banking rules & regulations, and execute the responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards.

  • Constantly maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation of our bank in the markets and with all staff, customers, business partners and regulatory/official bodies.

  • To keep abreast with the market environment and competitors product offerings from time to time to remain relevant in the market.

  • Timely & accurately compilation & completion of relevant Reports Submission on periodic basis.

  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head of Branch and/or Management from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor degree in finance, banking, accounting or equivalent from a reputable university.

  • 5 to 7 years work experience in credit marketing position in the banking industry with good track record of performance achievements.

  • Excellent understanding of & well versed in the business activities or environment involving the corporate customers, SMEs and retail customers.

  • Good project and time management skills.

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in a pressured environment, independent and good team player.

  • PC literate preferably in Microsoft Office (e.g. Words, Excel, etc).

  • Conversant in English and/or Mandarin (both spoken and written).
