Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) is looking for highly motivated, passionate and qualified individuals for the position of Senior Research Administrator, Strategic Research Institute (SRI). The Senior Research Administrator will provide administrative support for SRI's daily operations, meetings, communications and research activities. The role also manages publications, citations, IRN initiatives, conferences and SRI's online presence.
Responsibilities:
Operations and Coordination
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for meetings and organise joint activities such as global week.
- Regularly monitor and update records related to SRI's projects, publications and citations to ensure yearly targets are achieved.
Website and Journals Management
- Regularly provide updates for the SRI website with the latest information, publications and research impact.
- Support peer review process and update information related to the journals JATI and EJBM and assist with the promotion of these journals.
International Research Network (IRN) Support
- Explore and analyse the IRN map to identify relevant universities and research institutions that align with SRI's strategic objectives.
- Organise and coordinate meetings with universities according to the IRN map, for joint publications.
- Administrative support in arranging meetings with the SRI team and selected key researchers to discuss potential collaborations with identified universities.
- Keep detailed records of discussions, agreed areas of collaboration, and action items from meetings with partner universities.
- Follow up on tasks and collaborative projects identified during IRN meetings, ensuring progress is tracked and deadlines are met.
- Arrange and coordinate regular meetings with IRN partner universities to review ongoing collaborations, discuss new opportunities, and address any challenges.
- Keep a comprehensive record of all publications, research outputs, and collaborative achievements resulting from IRN partnerships.
KPI Setting and Performance Monitoring
- Assist in establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the number of publications (Q1-Q4), citations, and conference proceedings across all schools.
- Assist the Director to ensure KPIs are comprehensive and cover all relevant areas (publications, citations, conference proceedings) across all schools, to achieve maximum results for QS ranking publications score)
Regular Reporting and Updates
- Provide administrative support in preparing and distributing monthly reports on publications, citations, and IRN activities across all schools. These reports should highlight key achievements and include a comparative analysis against counterparts to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
- Provide support for producing quality and timeliness of reports, utility for timely strategic decision-making for any corrections.
Requirements:
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Research Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in administrative, coordination, research support, or project management roles.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, meetings and activities simultaneously.
