We are looking for a skilled Reservoir Engineer to support clients in maximizing reservoir performance through advanced reservoir engineering, geomodelling, simulation, and uncertainty-based modelling. The role will involve working closely with client subsurface teams, applying innovative technologies, and contributing to the development of industry-leading reservoir solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct ensemble-based reservoir modelling and simulation studies in collaboration with clients, both internally and externally.
- Work closely with client subsurface teams in Malaysia and overseas to understand reservoir challenges and deliver practical technical solutions.
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical knowledge sharing on uncertainty-centric ensemble-based modelling workflows, reservoir engineering practices, and related technologies.
- Apply reservoir engineering and geomodelling expertise to support field development, reservoir management, history matching, forecasting, and uncertainty assessment.
- Utilise industry-standard software such as Petrel, ECLIPSE, and other reservoir modelling and flow simulation tools.
- Support the development, testing, validation, and quality control of technical solutions and software applications.
- Provide continuous technical feedback to product managers, developers, and domain experts to improve existing and future solutions.
- Collaborate with leading industry specialists, software developers, and technical experts to shape and enhance reservoir engineering products and workflows.
- Contribute to technical projects, client engagements, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Maintain a strong client-focused approach, ensuring technical deliverables meet agreed quality and service expectations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geoscience, Geology, or a related discipline.
- Strong practical experience in Reservoir Engineering and/or Geomodelling within an E&P company, oilfield services company, or reservoir consultancy environment.
- Proven experience using Petrel and reservoir flow simulators such as ECLIPSE or equivalent industry-standard tools.
- Solid understanding of reservoir modelling, simulation, uncertainty analysis, history matching, forecasting, and reservoir performance evaluation.
- Experience with ensemble-based modelling, uncertainty-centric workflows, or assisted history matching would be highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into practical client solutions.
- Curious, self-motivated, and willing to continuously learn and share technical knowledge.
- Structured, proactive, and commercially aware approach to solving client and business challenges.
