Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Riser Engineer to support conceptual studies, FEED, detailed design, advanced riser analyses, and multidisciplinary coordination for offshore/subsea projects. This role provides technical leadership, supports highquality engineering deliverables, and mentors junior engineers within the discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform conceptual studies, FEED, detailed design, and complex riser engineering analyses.
- Build, review, and verify riser analysis models (fatigue, strength, installation, clashing).
- Prepare accurate engineering calculations, design reports, and procedures.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project management, planning, fabrication, and vendors.
- Review vendor documents, technical bids, and support procurement processes.
- Conduct design checks, IDC reviews, technical audits, and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Provide engineering support to fabrication and site teams, including resolving technical queries.
- Mentor junior engineers and share discipline standards, tools, and best practices.
- Capture lessons learned and contributed to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in riser engineering or related offshore/subsea discipline.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Subsea, Offshore, or related Engineering field.
- Strong handson experience in riser analysis and modeling.
- Ability to perform advanced analyses (fatigue, strength, installation, clashing).
- Familiar with offshore design standards, procedures, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Strong communication, technical reporting, and problemsolving skills.
- Experience reviewing vendor documents, technical evaluations, and supporting procurement is an advantage.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and support junior engineers.
