Job Title: Senior Risk Developer (Murex – Market & Credit Risk)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 24 Months

Job Description

• Develop, enhance, and maintain risk management applications using Murex.

• Support Market Risk and Credit Risk functionalities within Murex.

• Implement and validate Value at Risk (VaR), EWRS, and MLC/Credit Risk models.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in SQL Server

2012.

• Support risk data integration, ETL processes, and reporting workflows.

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

• Work closely with risk analysts, business users, and stakeholders to ensure accurate risk

calculations.

• Prepare technical documentation and maintain compliance with internal and regulatory

standards.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Mandatory Skills

• 6–9 years of software development experience in the financial services domain.

• Hands-on experience with Murex (Market Risk & Credit Risk).

• Minimum 1–2 years of Market Risk experience.

• Strong knowledge of Value at Risk (VaR), EWRS, and MLC/Credit Risk methodologies.

• Strong SQL Server 2012 development and database optimization skills.

• Experience with Windows Server 2012 environments.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with other trading or risk management platforms.

• Knowledge of regulatory risk reporting frameworks.

• Experience with financial data integration and ETL processes.

• Scripting or automation experience for risk workflows.
