About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Safety & Loss Prevention Engineer to support offshore Oil & Gas projects across FEED, Detailed Design, and EPCI phases. You will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions that enhance process safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance while supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute Safety & Loss Prevention engineering deliverables for offshore projects.
- Perform and support HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, BowTie, Fire & Gas Detection, Escape, Evacuation & Rescue (EER), and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) studies.
- Prepare and review engineering documents including fire protection philosophies, hazardous area classifications, safety layouts, safety reports, and technical calculations.
- Perform safety engineering analyses using industry-standard software such as PHAST, Flaresim, Pipenet, Vessfire, CFD, or equivalent tools.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Structural, and Marine disciplines to ensure integrated engineering solutions.
- Review vendor documentation and provide technical comments to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, model reviews, and multidisciplinary technical meetings.
- Support engineering planning, project execution, and timely delivery of assigned activities.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable international codes, class requirements, and client specifications.
- Identify technical risks and recommend practical safety-by-design improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of Safety & Loss Prevention Engineering experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience supporting offshore facilities, including FPSO, FLNG, offshore platforms, or similar process facilities.
- Strong experience across FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, or EPCI projects.
- Hands-on experience performing HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA, BowTie, Fire & Gas Mapping, Hazardous Area Classification, and other process safety studies.
- Experience using one or more engineering software tools such as PHAST, Flaresim, Pipenet, Vessfire, CFD, or equivalent.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, vendors, and third-party consultants.
- Able to work independently while managing multiple engineering priorities and project deadlines.
