Essentra Components are a global market leader in plastic injection moulded, vinyl dip moulded and metal components. We have a history of over 65 years, producing essential components across a huge range of industries and applications. Our components are found in almost any industrial application.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing sales strategy, uncovering new potential customers, following up on leads, promoting the Essentra Components value proposition including presenting our product ranges to customers, and overall revenue growth for the Norther Region in Malaysia. To be successful in this role, you should be customer focused, hands-on, and able to operate independently.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Essentra Components product range
  • Spend a minimum of 40%-60% of time on the road meeting customers in person
  • Maximize all sales opportunities through B2B activity including regular outcall activity as well as face to face meeting customers regularly
  • Proactively seek out to win new business for the company
  • Defend and grow (Cross Selling) existing revenue streams through excellent account management to build long term relationships
  • Build strong internal relationships by working with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Customer Service to drive business objectives
  • Effective use of questioning and listening techniques to understand the customer's application requirements to maximize cross selling of Essentra Components full product ranges
  • Prepare and follow up sales quotations to customers, prospects and leads documenting all activity in CRM
  • Regular maintenance of accurate customer records and opportunity management in CRM
  • Operate effectively within current policies and procedures relating to pricing, order entry and lead times by becoming adept to using all of the Essentra Components systems and resources
  • Participate in team briefings and ensure regular communication with team leaders and other team members to address issues and develop a wider range of skills
  • Participate enthusiastically in specific projects (business development and market research) and team activities when called upon
  • Attend trainings and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
  • Provide additional support for the inbound Customer Sales & Service team when required

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 Years experience in B2B Sales in a commercial environment.
  • Proven track record of sales territory growth and new business development.
  • Experience in Semiconductor, Electrical & Electronics, System Integration, Motor Vehicle Industries.
  • Experience dealing with sales targets and budgets, negotiating business opportunities with customers
  • Experience with opportunity management using a CRM platform, Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
  • Team player
