Job Description

The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the client base for United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd's financial products and services within the Malaysian market.

Responsibilities:**

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with prospective clients, primarily focusing on corporate and SME segments.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments for clients and propose suitable banking solutions, including corporate loans, trade finance, cash management, and treasury products.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to potential and existing clients.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments (e.g., Credit, Product Development, Operations) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the financial services industry.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sales team members as required.

Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrated expertise in selling corporate banking products, including loans, trade finance, and cash management solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in other local dialects is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a client-centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possession of relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE) is a plus.
  • Existing network of corporate and SME clients in Malaysia is highly desirable.
