We are partnering with a Malaysian Corporation that specializes in trading and distribution of chemical products. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Senior Sales Manager as part of their strategic growth.
Responsibility:
- Develop and implement comprehensive distribution sales strategies for petrochemical and industrial products across Malaysia.
- Identify, qualify, and close significant new sales opportunities, consistently meeting ambitious revenue and volume targets.
- Personally manage and grow major accounts and key strategic customer relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Conduct market analysis to determine competitor activity, define pricing strategies, and identify emerging trends.
- Be fully accountable for building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing distribution sales team from inception.
- Define the optimal team structure, roles, and compensation plans necessary for regional market penetration.
- Implement effective sales training, coaching, and performance management systems to elevate overall team capability.
- Foster a results-driven, entrepreneurial, and collaborative sales culture.
- Own the entire sales forecast and budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Utilize CRM tools effectively to manage the sales pipeline, track performance metrics, and report competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate closely with internal Logistics, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to guarantee efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1015 years of progressive B2B sales experience, with a substantial focus on chemical distribution, petrochemicals, or industrial solvents.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing, hiring, and scaling a professional sales team.
- Proven ability to deliver strong sales growth and manage P&L/margin requirements within the chemical distribution space.
- Deep understanding of the Malaysian and regional chemical industry, including market dynamics and relevant regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills.
