Senior SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Consultant

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Consultantwho combines strong technical expertisewith solid Business Analyst (BA) capabilities. This role is responsible for working closely with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable analytics and planning solutions on SAP Analytics Cloud.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAC reporting, dashboarding, planning, and data modeling, while also being comfortable acting as the bridge between business users and technical teams. You will play a key role in solution design, development, stakeholder management, and delivery across analytics and planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Analytics Cloud (Technical Delivery)

Design, develop, and enhance dashboards, stories, applications, and planning solutionsin SAP Analytics Cloud.

Build and maintain data models, connections, and integrationsbetween SAC and source systems such as:

oSAP S/4HANA

oSAP BW / BW4HANA

oSAP HANA

oNon-SAP sources (SQL databases, flat files, APIs, etc.)

Deliver end-to-end SAC solutions covering:

oManagement reporting

oData visualization

oFinancial planning, budgeting, and forecasting

oKPI tracking and business performance analysis

Optimize report performance, usability, and data accuracy.

Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and go-live support.

Prepare technical documentation, solution design documents, and user guides.

2. Business Analysis / Functional Consulting

Work directly with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and planning requirements.

Conduct:

oRequirement gathering workshops

oBusiness process analysis

oGap analysis

oFunctional design sessions

Translate business requirements into functional specificationsand actionable technical designs.

Advise stakeholders on KPI frameworks, reporting standards, dashboard structures, and planning models.

Act as a liaison between business users, project managers, and technical teamsto ensure alignment on scope and deliverables.

Support UAT, user training, change requests, and post-implementation enhancements.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes and reporting capabilities through SAC.

3. Leadership & Project Contribution

Lead SAC workstreams or take ownership of assigned solution areas in project delivery.

Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

Contribute to solution architecture discussions and best practices for SAC implementation.

Support effort estimation, delivery planning, and risk/issue management.

Ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.

Requirements

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of experiencein BI/Analytics/SAP reporting projects, including hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud.

Proven experience in delivering SAC solutions for:

oReporting and dashboards

oPlanning and forecasting

oData modeling and integration

Experience working in complex enterprise environments with SAP ecosystems.

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Good understanding of:

oSAC Story and Application design

oSAC Planning models

oData actions / allocations / planning processes

oLive and import connections

oData modeling and performance optimization

Experience integrating SAC with:

oSAP S/4HANA

oSAP BW/BW4HANA

oSAP HANA

Knowledge of SQL, ETL, data warehousing, and data visualization best practices is preferred.

Familiarity with project and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP Analytics Cloud certification is a strong advantage.

Experience in full-cycle SAP implementation or transformation projects.

Experience in consulting environments or client-facing delivery roles.

Exposure to Agile delivery methodology is a plus.

Prior experience in a hybrid role combining technical consulting and business analysisis highly preferred.
