Job Title: SAP Technical Lead

Overview
We are supporting a leading organisation in the search for an experienced SAP Technical Lead to take ownership of their technical SAP landscape. This is a key role responsible for ensuring system stability, performance, and security, while driving high-quality technical delivery across a complex enterprise environment.
You will play a hands-on leadership role, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP technical delivery across development, system administration, and security domains
- Ensure the stability, performance, and security of SAP platforms and integrated systems
- Deliver technical design, development, and troubleshooting for complex solutions
- Act as the escalation point for critical technical and production issues
- Oversee development standards, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices
- Manage system landscapes, including transports, upgrades, and release cycles
- Maintain and enhance system security, access controls, and compliance frameworks
- Monitor system performance and ensure robust incident and recovery processes
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Review and govern third-party vendor deliverables and technical designs
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and optimisation initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP technical roles
- Strong experience across development, system administration, and security
- Proven ability to lead or mentor technical teams
- Hands-on experience in technical design, development, and debugging
- Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and middleware
- Experience supporting audits, compliance, and access control frameworks
- Ability to manage complex technical environments and stakeholders effectively
