Senior Software Engineer

Our client is a technology-first global hedge fund based in Singapore, building their data platform from scratch. They're looking for a hands-on Software Engineer who wants to own the whole stack.

This is a greenfield build. No legacy baggage, no sprawling bureaucracy. You'll work on genuinely hard distributed systems problems alongside a small, high-calibre team where the quality of your thinking matters more than your title. Modern tooling, AI-augmented workflows, and real engineering autonomy.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate core data infrastructure end-to-end - from ingestion pipelines to storage and serving layers

• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (GitLab, Nomad)

• Work with modern open table formats (Apache Iceberg) and cloud object storage (S3) at scale

• Apply AI tooling where it genuinely accelerates delivery

What they're looking for

• Strong Python engineering - you write clean, production-grade code and care about the craft

• Comfort across the stack: infrastructure, pipelines, APIs, and everything in between

• DevOps experience with GitLab CI/CD, Nomad, S3, or Iceberg is a strong plus

• Low ego, high standards - you thrive in a small team where everyone pulls their weight
