Senior Software Engineer

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, eager to learn new skills and share them with others. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products including overhaul of legacy systems. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.

You will be working on DCConnect's industry-leading SDN (software defined network) platform. It consists of Admin and Customer portals for managing network elements in a single pane of glass, backend servers and databases, API integration with other SDN-enabled network providers and cloud service providers like AWS, and a comprehensive network and pricing system that can calculate multiple solutions for users based on criteria like cost and latency.

Hybrid of remote and on-site work can be accommodated (office in Kuala Lumpur). 5-day workweek with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Refactor and maintain legacy systems while developing new and better systems to replace it
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Call other software APIs to extend the functionality of our product
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in code reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency with TypeScript is required
• Proficiency with Java is required
• Proficiency with Go language is an advantage
• Proficiency with relational databases (any), Linux server administration is strongly recommended
• Understanding and application of software development practices like unit testing and linting
