About the Team

The Data Domain is focused on transforming Cimpress businesses into data-driven organizations.

We build platform products that enable businesses to ingest, store, transform, and use data to generate meaningful insights. Following a data mesh approach, we promote decentralized, domain-driven ownership of data, treat data as a product, and provide teams with a self-service data platform.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer – MLOps, you'll be part of a cross-functional, T-shaped team working with colleagues and teams across the globe.

You'll have the opportunity to understand business problems, design scalable solutions, contribute to technical direction, and make meaningful engineering decisions with a high degree of autonomy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices using .NET and AWS.
• Contribute to front-end development using React and TypeScript where required.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure and provision infrastructure dynamically using Terraform.
• Drive the evolution of MLOps capabilities across the platform, including identifying gaps, evaluating capabilities, and driving improvements.
• Enable reliable machine learning workflows, including model development, orchestration, deployment, and production use.
• Develop and maintain Python libraries and APIs used by Data Engineers and Data Scientists.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Design and implement secure, reliable, and efficient APIs and microservices.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
• Create technical documentation and guides that help teams adopt and use platform capabilities effectively.
• Participate in Agile practices such as planning, refinement, and team discussions.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong experience building microservices, cloud-native, and data-intensive applications.
• Strong understanding of the MLOps ecosystem, including feature engineering, model training, model deployment, and batch and real-time inference.
• Experience with machine learning platform concepts such as feature stores, model registries, and model serving.
• Strong programming and object-oriented design skills, preferably with .NET/C#.
• Good understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with modern web development and at least one JavaScript framework.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems creatively, and learn new technologies in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with good fluency in English.
• Experience working effectively in an Agile environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in remote-first and asynchronous teams.
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable data engineering or ML orchestration pipelines.
• Experience deploying machine learning solutions in e-commerce or similar domains.
• Experience building production-grade machine learning platforms or solutions.
