About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and innovative
Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic technology team at RHB Bank. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business and technical teams to design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions that drive operational excellence and digital transformation. You will act as a key liaison between business squads and developers, providing technical expertise, architectural insights, and leadership in the delivery of enterprise-grade applications.
What You Will Be Doing
- Engage with Tribes, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and business squads to develop and design solutions that meet business requirements.
- Serve as a bridge between business functions and IT teams, providing subject matter expertise and ensuring alignment between user needs and technical solutions.
- Participate in architectural discussions and decisions to ensure system scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Design, code, test, and debug complex software applications, focusing on high-impact and mission-critical components.
- Develop enterprise-class applications and integrations in line with Group Technology Services solution architecture.
- Plan, organize, and monitor development projects, ensuring delivery meets established standards and operational efficiency targets.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve or enhance existing systems and applications.
- Perform application customization and integration, including user training, implementation support, and ongoing maintenance.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to secure coding standards, maintain code quality, and promote best practices.
- Manage and resolve application issues promptly while monitoring and maintaining production system SLAs.
- Provide first- and second-level support for applications, ensuring effective troubleshooting and resolution.
- Offer technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements, including those from BNM, PayNet, and other relevant authorities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in software development or related technical roles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
- Proficiency in designing, coding, testing, and debugging complex applications.
- Familiarity with banking products, processes, and operations is an advantage.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
