Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with PerkinElmer's business objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and supplier performance.
  • Cost management: Lead and delivery cost improvement activities and ensure healthy cost optimization funnels.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and agreements. Manage contracts effectively to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements. Conduct regular analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including but not limited to R&D, Operations, and Finance, to understand their sourcing needs and align strategies accordingly.
  • Supplier Diversity and Sustainability: Drive initiatives to enhance supplier diversity and sustainability, aligning with PerkinElmer's commitment to corporate responsibility.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing disruptions.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor the effectiveness of sourcing strategies. Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5-10 years) in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a global organization.
  • Proficiency with sourcing and procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba) and the MS Office Suite (advanced Excel skills).

  • Familiarity with relevant sourcing tools and technologies.
