About the Role
We are looking for a creative and experienced R&D professional to drive the development of innovative sauces, seasonings, and condiment solutions for instant noodles and snack products. This role will lead consumer-focused New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, from concept creation through commercialization, while ensuring products meet market trends, customer expectations and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is passionate about savory food innovation, possesses strong formulation expertise and has hands-on experience in product development and scale-up within the food manufacturing industry.
Working Location: Penang/Kedah
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end NPD projects involving sauces, seasonings, and condiment systems for instant noodles and snack applications.
- Develop innovative and market-relevant products based on consumer insights, industry trends and customer requirements.
- Formulate and optimize both dry and liquid seasoning systems, sauces, and savory flavor applications.
- Execute laboratory development, pilot plant trials, and factory scale-up activities to ensure smooth commercialization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Quality Assurance and Procurement to achieve successful product launches.
- Support customer engagements through product presentations, technical discussions and product demonstrations.
- Conduct sensory evaluations, benchmarking studies, and product performance testing to ensure product excellence.
- Ensure all developed products comply with food safety regulations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve formulation, processing, and production challenges during development and commercialization stages.
