Job Purpose
Lead process improvement and technology optimization in Catalytic Cracking (RFCC/PRU/LTU) units to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety. Use data-driven solutions to resolve issues, collaborate across teams, and deliver projects aligned with business goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategy & Planning: Lead technology and engineering projects to optimize RFCC/PRU/LTU performance, delivering measurable improvements aligned with business goals.
- Process Safety & Optimization: Drive process safety, reliability, and efficiency using advanced technologies while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Technical Governance: Ensure adherence to engineering standards, HSE requirements, and MOC processes; lead technical reviews (HAZOP/PHA) and oversee project delivery.
- Commissioning & Turnaround: Provide technical leadership for startup, commissioning, and turnaround activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
- Capability Development: Mentor teams, strengthen technical expertise, and promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Product & Quality Improvement: Enhance product quality and performance through innovation and optimization aligned with market needs.
- HSSE Compliance: Uphold strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with HSSE policies and regulations.
Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 15-20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 7 years in technical services and/or operations within refinery and/or petrochemical environments.
- Certified Technical Professional Career Progression (TPCP) certification is mandatory for this role.
- Proven experience in leading projects or process improvement initiatives aimed at performance optimization, technology integration, and driving operational excellence.
- Strong background in providing technical guidance to engineers and specialists within the refinery and petrochemical sectors.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and implementing solutions that improve operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and overall plant performance.
- Proven ability to manage and execute projects that lead to measurable improvements in systems and processes.
- Proficiency in technical analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making in complex refinery and petrochemical environments.
- Strong leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers and specialists.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across functions and ensure alignment with project objectives.
