Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Support the development, debug, characterization, qualification and product ramp of new memory products and technologies.
- Drive and supervise R&D activities related to new product/technology development, characterization and qualification. Ensure efficient resource allocation and alignment with company objectives. Act as a liaison between the R&D team and cross-functional teams to prioritize activities and accelerate time-to-market.
- Lead the team in debugging and optimizing silicon wafers for customer sampling and qualification. Provide technical direction during wafer-level characterization and work closely with design, technology systems engineering, test engineering and failure analysis teams to resolve critical issues.
- Ensure the team develops and maintains robust electrical test methodologies to guarantee products meet data sheet specifications. Perform periodic reviews and audits to ensure methodologies remain current and scalable as technologies evolve.
- Provide strategic oversight on the development and modification of test program, test methodologies and test parameters. Assign team members to tasks, review outputs, and ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Champion the development of automation scripts and tools for data analysis, focusing on efficiency improvements and accuracy. Mentor team members on best practices for automation and data interpretation and advocate for the adoption of advanced analytics practices utilizing artificial intelligence where applicable.
- Lead the team in characterizing products to identify manufacturing enhancement opportunities. Evaluate proposed changes for feasibility and impact on cost, performance and reliability before implementation.
- Oversee efforts to optimize devices to improve yield and quality while reducing test times. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify systemic yield/quality issues, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Assign and lead efforts for product or process re-characterization as required, ensuring the team delivers comprehensive results that align with strategic goals. Oversee documentation and communication offindings.
- Assign projects and tasks to team members based on their expertise and development needs. Track progress and ensure timely delivery of results. Foster a collaborative team environment to encourage innovation and problem-solving.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers within the product test engineering team. Facilitate training and skill development to enhance the team's capabilities in advanced characterization techniques and tools.
Your Profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- Technology-related bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Preferable to have at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor product development, product engineering, test engineering, manufacturing process and flow or failure analysis related roles.
- Knowledge of handling automated test equipment (ATE) and bench equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in automation using programming and scripting languages such as C++, Python and/or Perl
- Demonstrated knowledge in data analytics and visualization tools such as Spotfire, PDF Exensio or/and Tableau.
- Knowledge of AI tools is preferred
- Precision Questioning and Answering methodology
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to effectively coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Possess strong communication skills to present findings to stakeholders, propose solutions, and align teams on corrective actions.
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers and managing deliverables in a fast-paced environment is often expected.
