Job Description

Basic Purpose / Accountabilities:

He/she is the company representative onboard the drilling rig during well Completion & Well Intervention (CWI) and well testing activities. He/she is responsible for coordination and supervision of CWI & well testing contractors and third-party service providers, ensuring execution of their work scopes comply to HSE and technical standards, and that they are carried out as per the program in a safe and efficient manner.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:

  • HSE Critical Tasks accountabilities include Well Control, Well Integrity, SIMOPS, rig / work site operation supervision, and management.
  • Accountable as onsite safety leader for CWI & well testing operations ensures that all relevant service contractors comply to HSEMS, technical, and company standards. Safeguards the Company's assets and interests (e.g. platform, wells, materials and equipment) during CWI
  • activities.
  • Ensures planned wells are completed, tested, or intervened as per design and program. Work closely with Lead CWI Engineer on any deviations to standards or program.
  • To provide continuous, accurate, and reliable information to Rig Superintendent, Senior DSV, and Lead CWI Engineer on aspects of onsite CWI operations (e.g. processes, costs, HSE, etc.)
  • Accurate forecasting and scheduling of equipment, materials, and services requirements to optimize utilization of resources and to ensure that all relevant activities are executed safely and in a cost-efficient manner
  • Ensure that all relevant well data is recorded accurately and reported in a timely during operations. Review the daily report before circulation for accuracy. Ensure proper and accurate tracking of NPT during CWI and well testing operations.
  • Accountable for preparation of quality daily written work instructions to contractors, specifying the required work scope for the next 24 hours during CWI and well testing execution (e.g. standing instruction for driller).
  • Ensure that the well handover process from Operations and back to Operations at end of every CWI program is performed according to procedures.
  • Ensure all work is properly risk assessed and planned efficiently. Review Job Hazard Analyses with actual site data and ensure Permit to Work is raised as required.

HSE Roles:

  • Comply with HSE policies, Life Saving Rules, procedures, goals, and programs within the MBU HSE Management System.
  • Actively engage in and contribute to HSE communication and consultation processes.
  • Actively participate in HSE initiatives and programs that include but not limited to, Safety Observations and HSE Trainings.
  • Support company sustainability development (SD) initiatives and other environmental policies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum 15 years in Completions discipline, of which at least 7 years are spent at the well site
  • Holder of IWCF Level 4, Supervisor Certificate for Surface BOP Stack.
  • Proven ability in oil and gas CWI designs, knowledgeable about the latest developments related to drilling and completions.
  • Highly skilled in offshore well construction operations, high angle / horizontal completions, and proven ability in managing daily onsite CWI operations.
  • Expert in the installation of sand control completion
  • Highly skilled in well clean up, well testing, and down-hole stimulation design and execution for oil wells and gas wells
  • Strong operational focus and understanding of personal and process safety
  • Thorough understanding of well control, well barriers, and MOC Knowledgeable in Well Integrity Management
  • Must be medically fit to work offshore.
  • Experienced in simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) offshore
  • Good analytical, communication and writing skills, with PC fluency.
  • Strong preference for Semi-submersible and Tender Assist Drilling rig experience.
