Your Mandate at Valmont

  • Anchor Valmont's global ASC 740 process, supporting quarterly and annual provision cycles across our worldwide portfolio.
  • Translate complex international tax data into actionable reporting, ensuring accuracy across current and deferred tax positions.
  • Champion digital innovation, helping drive the adoption and optimisation of global tax provision technology.
  • Strengthen governance and internal controls, elevating documentation, analytics, and compliance disciplines across entities.
  • Advise senior leaders on tax implications tied to reorganisations, treasury activities, acquisitions, divestitures, and cross-border transactions.
  • Collaborate across a global ecosystemfrom international tax teams and divisional controllers to auditors and external advisors.
  • Review foreign statutory provisions for technical alignment and completeness against Valmont's global reporting standards.
  • Stay at the forefront of evolving global tax legislation and its impact on Valmont's tax provision strategy.

What You Bring

  • 59+ years of progressive tax or accounting experience
  • Minimum 2+ years in tax accounting, global tax provision, or ASC 740-related roles
  • Strong grounding in U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and global tax accounting principles
  • Working understanding of international tax concepts and transfer pricing
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
  • Ability to navigate tax complexity across multiple entities and jurisdictions
  • High attention to detail and comfort working in fast-paced close cycles
  • Collaborative mindset and strong business partnering instincts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or related field
  • CPA, CPA-equivalent, JD, MBA, MPA, LLM, or similar
  • Big Four or large multinational experience
  • Exposure to global tax systems or tax technology tools
