About the Role

The Senior Tax Executive is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with all tax regulations for Valiram Group.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Preparation and filing the company's tax documents, including direct and indirect tax monthly/quarterly payments, tax provision and tax returns
  • Streamline procedures and offer recommendations on how the tax filing process can run more efficiently
  • To provide support and advice on all direct and indirect tax matters
  • To take on proactive role in implementation of tax related project
  • To ensure consistent and latest technical updates being disseminated to the team and coach subordinates to ensure progression and team development
  • Work closely with relevant departments and consultants/relevant authorities for application for all tax incentives and reliefs for the Group
  • Liaise with the tax authorities in the event of field audit / investigation and defend positions taken
  • Ad hoc tasks as and when required

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Professional Experience : An appropriate professional qualification CPA / ACCA or equivalent is preferred
  • At least 4 years tax experience in a related field, gain either from a top-tier firm of accountants or from within a multinational group
  • Independent and creative thinking for tax planning, responsibility for a wide array of detailed compliance and financial reporting
  • Excellent quantitative skills, proficiency with Excel
  • Strong tax research, analytical and writing skills
  • Ability and flexibility to travel as and when required
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
