As a test automation engineer (quality engineering), you will work closely with engineering teams and scrum team (squads).
You will be working in an agile environment where your software engineering and automation expertise will be a key contributing factor toward overall team success.
You are expected to champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle by building scalable automation frameworks, engineering productivity tools, and AI-assisted testing solutions.
While your primary focus is quality engineering, test automation, and continuous testing, you are also expected to contribute to application development activities whenever required.
Job Responsibilities
Be part of agile development team to design, implementation and test on new or existing systems with agreed requirements and definition of done.
Design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks covering API, web, mobile and integration testing.
Develop and maintain automation assets, reusable testing libraries, and engineering productivity tools.
Ensure all code written pass all non-functional requirements and accompanied with appropriate automated testing.
Contribute to application development, bug fixes, technical improvements and platform engineering initiatives where required.
Work closely with product owners, quality assurance team and development team to deliver value early.
Shift quality left by embedding automation testing, quality gates, and continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Leverage AI-powered testing tools, intelligent test generation and agentic engineering concepts.
Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5-10 years of software development, automation engineering or quality engineering experience in Agile settings.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and coding capabilities.
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework or equivalent.
Experience with API testing and CI/CD platforms.
Experience with Cloud Native applications and Microservices.
Comfortable with Java (Spring Boot) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
Strong interest in AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation.
