Senior Test Lead - Performance Tester

About the role

Join our high-performing team as a Senior Performance Tester - JMeter, Load Runner at HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD. This full-time position is based in Kuala Lumpur and will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of our mission-critical software applications.

What you'll be doing

• Design and execute performance test plans using tools like JMeter and Load Runner

• Design, develop nonfunctional testing (Scalability, load, stress) and scripts. 

• Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks and performance issues. 

• Conduct load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests on applications. 

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure performance requirements are met. 

• Build and maintain a performance quality gate and a performance testing strategy on given project. 

• Enable performance monitoring and performance analytics to apply insights from production into development lifecycle for modeling and analysis 

• Provide recommendations for performance improvements and optimizations.

• Analyse test results and provide recommendations for performance improvements

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve performance issues

• Automate performance testing processes to ensure consistency and efficiency

• Document testing methodologies and best practices

• Continuously research and implement new performance testing techniques

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master degree in information technology and/or other demonstrated learning path (eg. Bootcamp) can be accepted.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in performance and load testing using tools like JMeter and Load Runner

• Experience in scripting (Java, Javascript, Groovy) 

• Understanding of automated testing tools and frameworks. 

• Experience in programming languages such as Java (preferably) 

• Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git and CI-CD pipeline

• Good understanding of development processes associated with an understanding of performance testing 

• Work experience in Finance, banking or insurance industry is preferred.

• Familiarity with Agile software development practices or Waterfall Methodology.

• Certification – ITIL is a PLUS.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
