Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Manager with extensive experience in automation testing and test management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading testing initiatives, developing automation frameworks, and ensuring the quality of software products. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage testing processes and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead the automation testing efforts for various projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and implement automation testing strategies and frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
- Manage the test management process, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Mentor and guide junior testers in automation testing best practices and tools.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and tools to enhance productivity.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality and testing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation testing technologies.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
- Proficient in test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience in leading a team of testers and managing testing projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in automation testing or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior testing role with a focus on automation.
