Role Summary
We are seeking a highly adaptable Sr. Web Technology Developer who thrives in a dynamic environment where projects span multiple technology stacks, architectures, and platforms. It is a senior technical position for a versatile engineer who can rapidly learn, evaluate, and deliver high-quality solutions across diverse web technologies.
You will work on a portfolio of web applications and enterprise platforms, collaborating with specialized engineering teams while maintaining a broad, technology-agnostic mindset. The ideal candidate is a quick study, strong architect, and effective mentor who can jump into new codebases and ecosystems with minimal ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to multiple concurrent web development projects built on varied technology stacks (frontend, backend, full-stack, hybrid, or emerging frameworks).
- Rapidly evaluate, learn, and become productive with new tools, frameworks, libraries, and platforms as project needs.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure web solutions while adhering to modern engineering best practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional and specialized engineering teams responsible for enterprise web platforms (i.e. documentation, content management, community, and learning systems).
- Provide technical leadership, conduct code and architecture reviews, and raise the overall engineering bar across teams.
- Mentor mid- and senior-level developers, promote knowledge sharing, and help standardize practices where beneficial without enforcing a single blessed stack.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across heterogeneous environments and drive resolution at the root-cause level.
- Work with marketing, design, and platform teams to translate business requirements into robust technical implementations.
- Stay current with web technology trends and selectively introduce improvements that deliver clear value.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on web development experience.
- Demonstrated success working across multiple technology stacks (e.g., different frontend frameworks, backend languages, CMS platforms, API architectures, etc.) in previous roles.
- Proven ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies, codebases, and domains with minimal hand-holding.
- Strong architectural thinking - able to evaluate trade-offs and recommend appropriate solutions regardless of the current tech in use.
- Solid understanding of modern web fundamentals: HTTP, REST/GraphQL, authentication/authorization patterns, performance optimization, security, responsive design, and accessibility.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, automated testing, and agile/iterative delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in enterprise/SaaS environments involving content, documentation, community, learning platforms and more.
- Background in API-first development, headless architectures, or integration-heavy projects.
