We are looking for a hands-on Senior Web Developer to own and scale a global Shopify-based e-commerce platform. Our client is a global Sports Technology company with offices in the USA (head office), Singapore, Turkey, Japan, and Malaysia. Their products help athletes—from youth to professionals—analyze and improve performance through real-time data and insights.
This role focuses on building, maintaining, and integrating real production systems — not just contributing isolated code.
The salary range is MYR 10,000 - 15,000 per month, and the location will be in KL Sentral.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the development of a multi-region Shopify storefront
- Build and maintain custom Shopify features, themes, and integrations
- Develop and manage API integrations with payment gateways, CRM, ERP, and third-party services
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across multiple systems
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of the e-commerce platform
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, UI/UX, QA, and global teams
- Maintain clean, scalable code and contribute to development best practices
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on web development experience
- Strong experience with Shopify (storefront, customization, or app integrations)
- Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
- Proven experience with API-based integrations and external systems
- Experience working with payment gateways and business systems (CRM / ERP)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments
- Experience working in cross-functional and multi-region teams
- Ability to own and manage systems end-to-end
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Shopify APIs (Admin / Storefront)
- Exposure to Node.js or backend services
- Understanding of e-commerce workflows and data flows
- Familiarity with performance optimization and analytics
