Job Title: Server Architect Manager
ROLE PURPOSE:
Plan, design and manage the Bank's server architecture, produce design decisions for server implementation, and provide reliable and efficient server infrastructure management and support services that ensure reliability, resiliency, security and performance for delivery of IT infrastructure and services in accordance to the agreed service level agreements.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
▪ Develop a well-formulated server platform architecture model, governance and standards based on IT and business directions and strategies to support the Bank's desired outcomes by applying enterprise and technical architecture principles to drive measurable results, including lowering cost, improving performance, mitigating security risk and using of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and effectiveness metrics to improve processes, and in compliance with IT policies, guidelines and procedures.
▪ Responsible for updates of the server platform architecture model, governance, policies, standards and processes to ensure continuous modernisation to the server platforms. This includes anticipating growth to ensure scalability, assessing the value of enhancement emanating from benchmarks, observations or other industry best practices and incorporate the changes, if required.
▪ Develop system architecture for the server side according to requirements from solution development and implement the architecture with the help of solution development and solution support team members. The server architect is also required to support the solution team technically and be involved in the design, development and implementation of the solution system.
▪ Conduct research and environmental scanning of latest technology trends and direction in server technology and services, and perform evaluation by working collaboratively across IT department and functions to improve the server infrastructure and services in the Bank in order to provide maximum stability, availability, security and reliability of services and to maximise competitive advantage in a digital economy.
▪ Design and standardise the Bank's server infrastructure and services and provide direction in the implementation of new server infrastructure technology solutions to ensure alignment to the IT and business directions, strategies and optimisation of IT investments and compliance with IT policies, guidelines and procedures.
▪Build and maintain strategic relationship/networking and collaborations with external expert and other IT organisations in order to benchmark and improve the Bank's IT server architecture.
▪ Provide technical advisory services on IT solution architecture and design proposals on server technical architecture, strategy and approach and business continuity solutions to ensure IT solutions that are resilient, secure, scalable and flexible to meet the current and future business needs.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE :
Academic Qualifications: Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology
Certification: Relevant server certifications eg Microsoft Windows Server Certification (MTA, MCSA, MCSE), Red Hat Certified System Administrator
(RHCSA), IBM Certified System Expert, CSA HP-UX
Experience: At least 10 years working experience in server administration and support for platforms such as Windows, or IBM AIX, or HP-UNIX & Linux Red Hat servers in an enterprise environment would be an advantage.

continuity to support business process efficiency, continuity and information accessibility and visibility.
Ability to engage with stakeholders to understand the criticality of their systems in order to create the correct architecture to ensure a stable and secure business environment.
Ability to participate in IT project implementation as a subject matter expert working with vendors and IT application teams to ensure the best architecture and solution for the Bank.
CHALLENGES

Manage stringent service level agreements for mission-critical business services or applications
Ability to work after office or during weekends, and travel to recovery site (whenever required) for server and the related solutions services to minimise disruption to business operations.
