Server Engineer Linux/Windows with Active Directory
Job Summary: We are seeking a Server Engineer with strong experience in Linux or Windows environments and hands-on expertise in Active Directory (AD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for server administration, user and access management, system stability, and day-to-day operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux and/or Windows servers
- Manage Active Directory (AD), including user accounts, groups, GPOs, and permissions
- Perform server monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Troubleshoot system, hardware, and OS-level issues
- Implement security best practices, patching, and updates
- Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities
- Coordinate with network, security, and application teams for issue resolution
- Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and/or Windows Server
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and basic networking concepts
- Experience with server monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Understanding of security concepts and access controls
- Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus
