Job Description

Mandatory Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies such as IOS-XR Router, IOS-XE, and Cisco routing products (ASR 9K, ASR9xx, NCS).
  • Proficiency in industry-standard routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), MPLS, MPLS L2 VPN, MPLS L3 VPN, QoS, and basics of multicast.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Webex Meetings.
  • Knowledge of switching concepts, LAN, WAN, and network security protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and configure third-party integrations, load balancers, and application delivery controllers.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively to achieve common goals.
  • Previous experience in a support role would be an advantage.
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP are preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Japanese

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone/email consultation to independently debug product problems reported by Cisco customers.
  • Offer technical support on a worldwide basis, addressing moderately to complex technical issues.
  • Utilize lab environments to simulate technical problems and identify solutions.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues through writing technical documents and contributing to knowledge databases.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and drive technical perfection and expertise.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies and expand upon core knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of technical experience in IP networking, preferably with Cisco technologies.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex environments and customer support roles.
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Security, CCIE Security are preferred.
  • Proficiency in additional languages would be a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment and achieve goals with limited supervision.
