Role Description The Service Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kuala Lumpur. The Service Engineer will perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair of diagnostic medical equipment across disciplines such as Neurology, Gastroenterology, Audiology, and Urology. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing technical issues, providing field service at customer sites, delivering technical support, and ensuring minimal equipment downtime. The role involves documenting service activities, maintaining spare parts and tools, and collaborating with internal teams and manufacturers to resolve complex technical problems. The Service Engineer will also communicate with healthcare professionals to explain equipment status, provide basic user guidance, and uphold safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience and be comfortable working at customer sites and managing on-site interventions.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Support capabilities to assist users and address equipment-related inquiries.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for medical diagnostic devices, including preventive and corrective work.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
- Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience with medical or diagnostic equipment and knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple service tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Willingness to travel within the region for field service and hold a valid driving license.
