Service Engineer

SGB MY is a subsidiary of the SGB-SMIT Group, a German company with over 100 years of expertise in transformer manufacturing. Established in 1994 and based in Malaysia, SGB MY specializes in the production of high-quality transformers, including oil-immersed transformers up to 40MVA 69kV voltage class and cast resin transformers up to 6.3MVA. The company also manufactures compact substations and is renowned for its precision engineering and innovative solutions.

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Seremban for a Service Engineer. The Service Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, conducting maintenance and repair of equipment, providing technical support, and performing field service tasks. Responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, offering solutions, installing and servicing transformers, and closely collaborating with clients to address their technical needs.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Hands-on experience in field services and performing on-site technical work
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams
• Expertise in providing technical support for transformers and related equipment
• Experience in maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical components
• Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic on-site conditions
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred
• Willingness to travel as required for field assignments
• Familiarity with transformer installation is an advantage
