SHE Manager | Terengganu, Malaysia

We are currently seeking an experienced SHE Manager for a 1-year renewable contract based in Terengganu.

Role Overview:

The SHE Manager will lead the implementation and enforcement of Safety, Health & Environment systems across the project, ensuring all construction and contractor activities comply with project requirements, local regulations, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project SHE policies, procedures, and management plans
  • Drive a strong safety culture across site operations and contractor workforce
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Ensure EPCC contractors comply with HSE requirements, statutory obligations, and project standards
  • Monitor high-risk construction activities, including hazardous material handling, lifting, confined space, and permit-to-work systems
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and authorities on SHE matters
  • Deliver SHE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for all site personnel
  • Prepare SHE reports, KPIs, and management updates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Safety, Environmental, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of SHE experiences within major EPC, EPCC, PMC, or industrial construction projects
  • Strong experience in LNG, cryogenic, gas processing, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects preferred
  • Prior experience managing contractors and multi-discipline site teams
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, DOSH Green Book, or equivalent are an advantage
  • Good command of English with strong communication, reporting, and leadership skills
