Job Description

Position Overview:

The Chargeman is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and compliance of high-tension (HT) and low-voltage (LV) electrical infrastructure in accordance with statutory requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Maintenance

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on switchgear, transformers, generators, and distribution boards.
Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime.

2. Compliance and Regulatory Management

Ensure compliance with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations.
Prepare and support scheduled inspections and certifications.

3. System Monitoring

Monitor load distribution and system performance.
Implement safety controls and emergency response procedures.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Valid Chargeman Certification (A4) from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
Minimum 5 years experience in HT/LV operations and maintenance.
Good understanding of electrical safety, energy conservation, and compliance standards.
