Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations and maintenance activities during assigned shifts, ensuring optimal performance of all critical systems with minimal disruption to clients.
- Perform and supervise troubleshooting, repairs, service requests, and post-work inspections to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
- Operate, maintain, and inspect critical infrastructure systems, including HVAC, CRAC, UPS, batteries, PDUs, generators, BMS, fire protection, life safety, and digital security systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with Change Control Application processes and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Supervise vendor maintenance activities, verify adherence to approved work methods, and escalate any abnormalities or risks to the Lead Engineer.
- Monitor fire alarm and safety systems, including enabling or disabling systems when required.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior engineers and technicians.
- Support and implement preventive maintenance programs, including scheduling, supervision, spare parts coordination, and inventory control.
- Operate the monitoring center during shifts, managing incident escalation, reporting, root cause analysis, and service restoration.
- Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance, including timely incident escalation and accurate reporting to clients.
- Promote a strong safety culture by complying with local regulations and company policies, identifying hazards, using appropriate PPE, and maintaining clean and safe work areas.
Requirements
- Proficient in English across all forms of communication, with the ability to write and review high-quality work scripts, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and incident reports.
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations governing building management and maintenance, including building safety, emergency evacuation, and environmental protection.
- Professional Engineering Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with additional professional certifications will have an advantage.
- Hands-on technical knowledge and experience with critical data center systems, including HVAC, standby/emergency power systems, UPS, and related infrastructure.
