Job Summary
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safety, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all on-site activities, including subcontractors, labourers, and suppliers.
- Plan, organize, and monitor site operations to ensure project milestone and deadlines are met.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on site.
- Coordinate with project managers, Contract Dept, consultants, and clients to resolve issues and provide progress updates.
- Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available and utilized efficiently.
- Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and report financial performance.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project plans to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress reports for management.
- Address and resolve any on-site problems or delays promptly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5-7 years experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, health & safety regulations, and project management principles.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
