Site Engineer is responsible for monitoring the site implementation of construction projects. Ultimately, you will be organising and supervising the site operations of the assigned projects by ensuring the compliance with building codes and quality standards.
- Understand and interpret construction drawings proficiently.
- Perform engineering calculation, testing and validation to support assigned tasks.
- Review technical and design input on projects while ensuring work quality is maintained within the expected standard.
- Coordinate with all parties, including subcontractors and consultants, to resolve on-site issues.
- Assist with actual site implementation with thorough understanding of testing and inspection procedures, quality and specification requirements, as well as ISO forms.
- Assist with daily monitoring and updating of work progress, ensuring smooth implementation of the master programme whilst maintaining the quality of works.
- Understand and implement the master programme, construction methodology, manpower, materials and plant schedules.
- Ensure timely completion of rectification works for all the defects and ensure the record for the defects is well maintained.
- Evaluate progress payment claims, variations and final measurement of works completed.
- Monitor the implementation of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) standards to ensure project comply with the guidelines as established by the authority.
- Maintain proper records, updated drawings, amendments and filed forms.
- Provide support in resolving on-site issues, hindrances and disputes amicably.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the superior and/or the management.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or other equivalent fields.
- At least 2 year of working experience in infrastructure or water utilities construction, or related fields.
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Detail-oriented with good understanding of project management methodologies and engineering design principles.
- Ability to articulate and present ideas well and thoroughly.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Revit and BIM.
