This position reports to:
Project Operations Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead all on-site activities of medium to large projects. Each day, you will ensure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the site team, defining main guidelines, and allocating tasks.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Businessin Malaysia, based in Johor Bahru. Main stakeholders are ABB valued Customers & Partners.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Coordinating all on-site activities to ensure the successful execution of material receiving, unloading, positioning, installation, testing, and commissioning, and defects rectification activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
Ensuring all site activities are executed as per schedule, reviewing periodic reports, and ensuring timely handover of work areas from customer. Attend all customer‑required site meetings in person.
Serving as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers as well as other local organizations such as authorities and suppliers to ensuring their active support of field activities.
Closing all punch list, handover of installed equipment, as-built documentation, material reconciliation, site de-mobilization, etc., and receiving the final certification from customer.
Ensure all site activities comply with the ABB HSE & Security Management System
Being certified as ABB Site Manager upon successful joining (internal certification).

Qualifications for the role
With Electrical Engineering background.
Willingness to Work On‑site (based in Johor) & travel.
With minimum 8 years in Field Service or Site Manager experience in Oil & Gas, Data Center or equivalent construction sites.
Experience with MV & LV Switchgears, Power Transformers, UPS, PTU, Compact Substations, E-House, SCADA or equivalent.
Resourceful, independent, collaborative, solutions driven with a growth mindset. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
