We are looking for a Site Safety Supervisor to assist in maintaining and enforcing safety policies in compliance with the OSH & FMA Act and regulations, aligned with the company's safety objectives. You will be responsible for monitoring compliance, promoting safety awareness, and implementing the Safety Management System on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining company safety policies in compliance with OSH & FMA Act regulations.
- Monitor and update legal and compliance matters, informing the Management Representative (MR) and working closely on prevention measures.
- Attend internal and external auditor queries related to safety.
- Promote awareness of the Safety Management System at all levels.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to eliminate dangers.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with the Safety Management System.
- Review HIRARC and Job Hazard Analysis before project execution.
- Maintain and distribute Emergency Response Plan (ERP) information to relevant parties.
- Ensure first aid and welfare facilities are in good condition.
- Coordinate safety training for subcontractors.
- Conduct site safety inspections and recommend corrective actions.
- Submit monthly safety reports and statistics to management.
- Maintain detailed records of safety activities, hazardous works, and housekeeping.
- Liaise with DOSH, Police, and relevant agencies regarding safety and security issues.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by your superior.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Yellow Book, registered with the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH).
- Minimum of two years of experience at site or related assignment.
- Preferably certified for working at height and lifting supervision.
- Familiar with safety standards and best practices in construction or substation environments.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Detail-oriented with effective time management skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Willing to work irregular hours when needed.
- Contract-based role for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
