Job Summary
The Site Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Site Engineer in coordinating site activities, subcontractors, and workers to ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review and study construction drawings before disseminating instructions to subcontractors and site workers.
- Liaise with subcontractors on work methods, sequencing, and daily site coordination.
- Coordinate and monitor site progress, workmanship quality, and compliance with contract specifications.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and adequate safety provisions at site working areas.
- Assist in manpower and resource scheduling, daily man-hour reporting, and coordination of site issues.
- Coordinate and monitor timely delivery and availability of materials and equipment to meet project schedules.
- Supervise subcontractors works to ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety practices at all times.
- Coordinate and monitor MEP interface works (civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical) relevant to data centre construction.
- Supervise works within critical and controlled areas (e.g. plant rooms, equipment rooms) to ensure compliance with data centre standards.
- Ensure high housekeeping standards, access control, and work readiness are maintained in accordance with data centre operational requirements.
Skills & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Building and/or Civil Engineering projects.
- Nice to have: Experience in Data Centre projects.
- Familiar with construction drawings, specifications, and technical details.
- Education: SPM and above.
- Good coordination, communication, and site management skills.
- Able to work independently and make prompt decisions on site matters.
