To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a SMT Process Engineer located in Flex PTP.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the SMT Process Engineer role is responsible to plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties in the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
What a typical day looks like:
- High mix low volume product/process incharge, Line Balancing study (Study on process cycle time, identify value/non-valve added movement, process improvement, optimize WIP kanban and material presentation)
- Lead NPI (New Production Introduction) process development DoE and support, tooling preparation with NRE plan.
- Perform DFA study for new product.
- Machine and Inspection System troubleshooting (Work hands-on to resolve equipment system)
- Perform root cause analyses for defects (FA analysis- investigate on process or incoming part)
- Engineering evaluation or DOE run as per customer's requests
- Work closely with production teams, quality teams, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
- IKW /SGA Kaizen project & automation project implementation and execution
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar field.
- Preferable with SMT-PCBA experience.
- Typically requires minimum: 2-5 years or more in electronics manufacturing industry or related area.
