A Quality Engineer is required to support the SMT line by ensuring process stability, monitoring product quality, driving RCCA for quality issues, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics). Quality Management, or related field. ion, Working Experience: Hands-on experience with SMT processes, PCBA assembly.
AOI/SDX inspection, ICT/FCT testing and quality control systems.
Experience in handling quality issues, process controls, and customer quality requirements is an added advantage.
Job Responsibility:
Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of IPC standards (e.g, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001). Good understanding of SMT processes, soldering standards, and IPC requirements. Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of RCCA methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D). Ability to interpret engineering drawings and quality specifications.
Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams. Familiar with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, and MSA Additional Requirements: Able to work in fast-paced, high-mix SMT/PCBA environment. Knowledge of IS09001, IATF16949, and quality management systems is an added advantage.
Monitor and improve SMT/PCBA quality performance, including yield, defect trends, and process capability.
Lead RCA/RCCA for internal and customer issues using 8D, 5 Why, and other quality tools.
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence of quality problems.
Conduct line audits, process verifications, and product inspections to ensure compliance with IPC and customer standards.
Provide daily quality support to SMT. AOI. FOC. and testing teams.
Review and approve quality documents such as inspection criteria, control plans, and work instructions.
Manage non-conforming materials/products through MRB and ensure timely disposition.
