Role Description:

This is a full-time role for a Social Media Executive at Ariff Communications. You will be responsible for crafting compelling creative content that supports our clients brand stories and campaign goals across digital and social platforms. This role requires a strong balance of creativity, strategic thinking, and technical execution to produce engaging content that resonates with target audiences.

As part of a collaborative team environment, you will work closely with internal teams including PR, creative, and strategy to ensure social media content aligns with broader communication objectives. The role also involves acting as a key point of contact for clients, supporting day-to-day client liaison by coordinating content approvals, managing feedback, and ensuring campaign deliverables are executed according to timelines and expectations.

You will also monitor social media performance, identify content opportunities, and contribute ideas that enhance campaign impact. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will help translate client goals into creative digital storytelling while maintaining clear and professional communication between clients and the internal team.

Key Responsibilities:

a) Content Strategy & Creation

  • Ideate and develop creative content that aligns with clients brand identity and campaign objectives.
  • Write, curate, and publish content across all platforms but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice while adapting content to suit various audience types.

b) Community Engagement & Management

  • Responsible for scheduling, answering enquiries based on an agreed guideline.
  • Drive engagement through active comment responses, DMs, and participation in relevant online conversations.

c) In-House Brand Account Management

  • Manage Ariff Group's official social media accounts with consistent and engaging content.
  • Strengthen the brand's digital presence and audience connection through storytelling and campaign support.

d) On-Ground Event Coverage

  • Attend and document relevant events for content creation (photos, videos, live posts).
  • Ensure timely and compelling social media coverage that highlights client or company participation.

e) Social Media Listening & Monitoring

  • Monitor platforms for brand mentions, conversations, and public sentiment.
  • Identify trending topics, opportunities, or potential PR concerns for internal escalation.
  • Deliver weekly/monthly insights to improve content and engagement strategies.

f) Analytics & Reporting

  • Track social media KPIs (engagement, reach, growth, click-throughs, etc.).
  • Analyse campaign and content performance using tools like Meta Insights or similar.
  • Prepare performance reports with key takeaways and improvement recommendations.

g) Business Development Support

  • Assist in preparing proposals and decks for potential clients.
  • Showcase the impact of social media through well-documented results and case studies.
  • Contribute strategic input on content ideas and social media trends during internal brainstorms.

 h) Others

  • Assist to the team in simple videography, editing, or graphic design tasks as needed to facilitate content production when creatives are unavailable. 

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Experience:At least 2 years in social media. 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of all social media platforms and best practices.
  • Basic photography and videography skills for content capturing. 
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Instagram Insights, etc.)
  • Canva or basic design/editing tools knowledge is a plus.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
