Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Social Worker position based in Bukit Gasing Petaling Jaya. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing support to children and families in need, conducting assessments, facilitating placements into family-based care, and collaborating with community partners to develop effective care solutions. Daily tasks include case management, evaluation of client needs, and providing emotional support and guidance. The role also involves organizing and leading outreach initiatives and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills
• Experience in case management, fostering, and adoption processes
• Knowledge of child welfare, family dynamics, and social support systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including families, organizations, and government agencies
• Problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in administrative tasks, record-keeping, and maintaining client confidentiality
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Prior experience in social care, children's services, or non-profit organizations is advantageous
• Empathy, cultural awareness, and a commitment to making a positive impact
