Software Developer (Fintech)

The Full Stack Developer will work on critical backend and frontend services, engaging directly with users to understand their challenges and enhance daily operations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, a mindset for effective solutions, and a strong skill set to improve user experiences.

Responsibilities

• System Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve and enhance existing systems.
• Application Management: Manage application customization and integration, live implementation, support, and maintenance.
• Development Support: Plan, organize, manage outsourcing and monitor development project applications to ensure they meet set standards.
• Operational Efficiency: Ensure operational efficiency in application delivery.
• Customization & Testing: Handle application customization, including analyzing requests, writing amendment/program specifications, designing, coding, and testing complex programs.
• Issue Management: Manage and resolve application issues promptly.
• Patch Management: Implement patch management to address system vulnerabilities and obsolescence.
• Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain code quality, and adherence to secure coding standards and best practices.
• Support: Perform efficient and effective first and second-level support for applications.
• Mentorship: Offertechnical guidance, mentoring, and training to other developers, promoting best practices and skill development.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of working experience in software development, preferably in the Fintech industry.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Residency: Open to Sarawakians only.

Skills & Knowledge Competencies:

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, with proficiencyin Java Spring Boot framework, MyBatis, Oracle Database, JavaScript, SQL, and API development.
• Knowledge and experience in Objective C and Swift programming.
• Ability to foster team collaboration, share knowledge and conduct code reviews.
• Enthusiastic about promoting new technologies and methodologies to support team growth and innovation.
